Petrol or Diesel Car

There is always a dilemma about petrol or diesel  in buying new car. 
Here is my individual opinion about buying petrol or diesel car. I live in India. Lets take a example of Tata Tiago XZ plus variant in 
Delhi.

ARAI Milage for Petrol Car is 23.84

ARAI Milage for Diesel Car is 27.28
  Imagine you travel 50-55 kms per day and 30 days a month or 1650 kms per month.

Total Difference in fuel cost in 8 years is						127291

So in 8 years the difference amount in Petrol and Diesel cars will be almost equal if you yearly running is 19800 kMS. But if your monthly running is  above 2000 kms , Diesel cars may be economical. 

Also resale value of diesel car is higher than petrol car now. But with change in rules to keep up with environmental changes, may decrease the demand for diesel car in future. 

       Thus petrol cars are better than diesel car cost wise. But if yearly running is above 30000KMS , then diesel car Makes sense in INDIA,
